Make quotations comparable
A price per metre or per panel is only useful when the scope is clear. For a Dingjiang enquiry, start with the product family, application, quantity and destination. Attach a drawing or marked-up layout where available. Keep mesh panels, posts, gates and accessories as identifiable line items.
Use this specification checklist
- Product type and required material.
- Panel or roll height, width or length, and quantity.
- Mesh opening, wire diameter, rail section or bearing-bar size as applicable.
- Post type, spacing, fixing method, caps and brackets.
- Gate clear openings, operation and hardware.
- Surface treatment, colour, tolerances and inspection requirements.
- Bundle or pallet format, labels and unloading limits.
- Delivery destination and agreed shipping terms.
Separate quantities from allowances
A perimeter plan helps distinguish straight runs, corners, ends and changes in level. Panel quantities should follow the agreed post-centre layout. Gate openings reduce the fence run but introduce different posts and hardware. State whether spares and installation consumables are included.
Confirm packing before production
Rolls, welded panels, pointed steel fencing and grating need different protection and handling. Ask how components will be grouped and labelled, and whether bundle dimensions and weights suit your unloading equipment. Container loading quantities depend on the finished specification and packing arrangement; do not assume a universal quantity per container.
Read the delivery terms
Name the port or place and the applicable Incoterm. Confirm which transport charges and documents are included. Import classification and destination compliance should be checked for the actual goods with the importer or appointed customs adviser.
