Where this range fits
Welded mesh panel fencing is the workhorse of the industry: school boundaries, labour accommodation compounds, warehouse and logistics yards, municipal parks and light industrial sites. It costs materially less per metre than palisade or 358 and installs quickly.
Panel geometry
Panels are supplied flat or with V-beam stiffening folds. The number of folds rises with height — two folds to 1.53 m, three folds to 2.03 m, four folds above. V-beams increase bending stiffness substantially without adding material, which is why the range reaches 2.43 m on a 4.5 mm wire.
Coating choices
- Hot-dip galvanised to ISO 1461 — 25–35 years inland, 15–20 years coastal.
- Galfan (Zn-5%Al-MM) to ASTM A875 — 35–45 years inland, 25–30 years coastal, roughly 1.6× the cost of plain HDG.
- PVC coated over galvanised wire — a colour option at modest extra cost, common on school and park projects.
- Powder coated over galvanised — the duplex option where a corporate RAL colour is required.
Installation
Panels attach to posts with galvanised steel or UV-stabilised plastic clips; anti-tamper versions use a shear-nut or a one-way security bolt. Posts can be base-plated for fixing to an existing concrete plinth or set directly in cast-in-situ footings.
Documentation supplied
Wire tensile and weld shear test records, coating mass certificates by weighing method, dimensional reports, and packing declarations with full container manifests.
Where it is specified
Residential & schools
Garden and playground boundaries where visibility and safety matter.
Commercial & logistics
Warehouse yards, car parks and contractor compounds.
Agriculture & utilities
Field boundaries, water treatment sites and solar farm perimeters.
Installation sequence
Set out
Mark post centres at 2.5 or 3.0 m and confirm boundary offsets.
Posts
Set posts 600 mm in C25/30 concrete, or base-plate onto slabs.
Panels
Clip panels to posts with the supplied clamps and anti-tamper bolts.
Verification
Check 50 mm ground clearance and continuous top line across bays.
Topping
Add barbed or razor wire arms where the risk assessment requires it.
